Isabelle Léourier
Isabelle Léourier lives and works in Chambly between city and nature. Sewing, embroidery, jewellery, featherwork, floral art, modelling and casting perfectly serve her taste for experimentation and invent a new practice in sculpture. As an expert in well-orchestrated overflow, unprecedented use beyond the frame and clever balance, the creator gives her own definition, both sensitive and contemporary, of textile art. Her works often revolve around organic shapes, inspired by a living and moving nature, at times terrestrial, at times aquatic, but always fantasized and described in ample and nervous strokes, changing colours and unprecedented materials. From the micro to the macro, whether posed on a surface, hung, or worn, the works of Isabelle inhabit all kinds of spaces, where they surprise, seduce and intrigue us. She has collaborated with the studios of Parisian designer houses (Christian Lacroix, Jean-Louis Scherrer, Stéphane Rolland, Christian Josse, Valentino, Alexandre de Paris, Jun Ashida), all the while devoting herself to her own collections of head ornaments and jewellery.
