Caroline Koener
Caroline Koener, 39, is a costume designer from Luxembourg who graduated in Costume Design for Screen & Stage at Arts University Bournemouth in 2008. She designs costumes for theatre, dance and film. In the film and audiovisual world, she has signed́ the costumes for short and feature films including: Superjhemp Retörns (2017) by Felix Koch, Mary Shelley (2016) by Haifaa Al-Mansour, Rusty Boys (2016) by Andy Bausch. Caroline also designs costumes for various theatre productions, including: Medea (2022) and Léa et la Théories des Systèmes Complexes (2023) at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.
Since 2018, she has been interested in sustainable development around the fashion industry and its consumption. She offers sewing and upcycling workshops for people of all ages. In 2020 she is working to set up a small-scale local production project entitled 'Huddelafatz' supported by, among others, the ́ ́Start-up ́ programme of the ́Œuvre Nationale Grande-Duchesse Charlotte.
