Ausser dem Material fir Eisebunne gëtt den Accent op d'Etud an d'Fabrikatioun vun Deeler fir d'Bauindustrie geluecht; d'Produktioun erweidert sech bis zu Konscht- an Dekorgossdeeler. Un atelier de construction métallique pour la fabrication de wagonnets de mines voit le jour. Dès 1882, une fonderie de fer vient s’y ajouter et la première coulée du cubilot fabrication Massard a lieu le 15 octobre 1883. De plus en plus la fonderie s’oriente vers la coulée de pièces mécaniques et de fonte voirie de marque Massard. Entre 1930 et 1960 les installations existantes sont régulièrement modernisées et la fabrication adaptée aux besoins du marché. En dehors du matériel ferroviaire, l’accent est mis sur l’étude et la fabrication de pièces pour l’industrie du bâtiment et s’élargit aux fontes d’art et décoratives. Une nouvelle unité équipée de moyens de fusion et de moulage performants s’ouvre en 1986. En parallèle, les équipements de l’atelier sont adaptés aux exigences du marché. La gestion est aujourd’hui assurée par Serge Wurth, un descendant direct des fondateurs. Ernst Strassacker founded the art foundry in Süssen (Baden-Württemberg) in 1919. Today, in the parent company and in the French branch, 500 employees are engaged in designing, pouring and shaping works of art: religious art, commissioned work, editions, fireplaces and gardens, or architectural elements. Edith Strassacker, 4th generation, runs the family casting business. The greatest attention is paid to the preservation and support of artistic craftsmanship. New technical processes are constantly developing; thanks to the quality of the work, the presence of works all over the world, the experience and the continual training of craftsmen, the art foundry is an international partner of stonemasons, artists, sculptors, architects, public entities and art collectors. In the manufacture, the foundry, the carving and patina workshops are born ambitious and aesthetic sculptures. This way, renowned artists and designers unite the generations.
