Robert Emeringer
In his glass workshop, Robert Emeringer works with different techniques: fusing, thermoforming, casting, glass paste, stained glass, glass restoration, glass cutting, glass blowing, glass engraving, sandblasting. His first contact with glass occurred in 1964, with the master glassmaker Rohleder in Luxembourg. He studied different techniques in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Germany. He was also interested in Indian and Tibetan art and spent a year in India. In 1986, he opened his studio in Asselborn (Luxembourg). His works are exhibited in museums such as the Glasmuseum Lette (Germany), the Glass Museum of the Castle of Val St. Lambert (Belgium) or the Glass and Crystal Museum of Nikolsk (Russia). Several of his works are also presented in public buildings, particularly in churches.
