"The jewel is a transport of intimacy, of colour, of poetry, of emptiness, sensuality, emotion, connection, light, silence, sensitivity, hate, love, screams, life, death, to say, of laughter, of art,.... and it invites us to meet and dialogue. It is a kind of coherence between the internal, vibrant life, of the jewel (what we want to say about it) and its external life (material, form, colour) that fascinates me." Claire Lavendhomme is an artist who creates contemporary objects, drawings and texts. As a lecturer in the wider context of fine arts, she is responsible for numerous training courses and workshops (jewellery, resin, artistic research, ...), organizes artistic encounters (visual arts, cinema, lectures, music) and has been exhibiting since 1989.
