“Her hands give birth to over-dimensioned eggs and shells that astonish by their size as much as by their tactile and refined beauty.”
Nathalie Fosse
Nathalie Fosse works and lives in Longfossé, close to Boulogne-sur-Mer (France). This unusual artist creates opened fascinating sculptures through which the dream, the originality and the mystery are sublimated. Animated by her imagination, her hands give birth to over-dimensioned eggs and shells that astonish by their size as much as by their tactile and refined beauty.
Her work is directly inspired from nature that gives so accomplished and architecture forms. It is in this register that she draws the rigor, the force, the timelessness and poetry that characterised each of her realisations. To give them structure, she resorts to traditional as well as current techniques. She made by herself each of the creating steps. Her imagination is guided by the game of forms and precious materials, and marries eggs of ostriches, emus, python, nacre, shagreen and rare woods. Her pieces have the mission to generate curiosity, astonishment, dream or thoughts.
