si Ënnerstëtzung vun der Fondation de France an der
Sorbonne fir de Programm Art Studio vun der NYU.
An hirer Aarbecht als bildend Kënschtlerin geet et
hir drëm, fir dat mënschlescht Liewen an all sengen
Dimensiounen ze beobachten. Hir Produktioune
fléissen aus hire Beobachtungen, aus hire perséinlechen
Erfarungen, emotionell a kollektiv, déi se an all de Stied,
wou si gelieft huet (Paräis, New York, Lëtzebuerg),
gesammelt huet. Sou sinn hir Zeechnungen, Molereien,
Videoen an Installatiounen all am Déngscht vun
därselwechter Iddi oder Fro: Wat fir en Impakt op
d’Wierklechkeet hu komplex a staark Emotiounen,
déi aus enger Frustratioun entstinn, an zwar der
Frustratioun, op der schmueler Grenz, déi déi zwee
Konzepter vu Kontroll an Net-Kontroll trennt, stoen
ze bleiwen? An hire Wierker wëll si gemeinsam Raim
schafen, wou d’Memoire an d’Emotiounen herrschen.
Aude Legrand, née en 1985 en France, travaille
au Luxembourg. De 2000 à 2015, elle étudie la
photographie à l’Institut Saint-Luc (Belgique) et
effectue sa recherche en art à l’Université Sorbonne
(Paris I). En 2010, elle est soutenue par la Fondation de
France et la Sorbonne pour le programme Art Studio
de la NYU.
Son travail de plasticienne s’articule autour d’un
intérêt pour l’observation de la vie humaine dans
toutes ses dimensions. Ses productions découlent
de ses observations, de son expérience personnelle,
émotionnelle et collective, faites au gré des différentes
villes où elle a pu vivre (Paris, New-York, Luxembourg).
Ainsi ses dessins, peintures, vidéos et installations sont
tous mis au service de la même idée : la prise direct sur
le réel de la complexité et de la portée des émotions
qui découlent de la frustration d’être figé sur l’étroite
frontière qui sépare les deux concepts du contrôle et du
non contrôle. Ce qui motive sa création est de créer des
espaces communs relevant d’une puissance mnésique
et affective.
Aude Legrand, born in 1985 in France, works in
Luxembourg. From 2000 to 2015, she studies
photography at the Saint-Luc Institute (Belgium)
and does her art research at the Sorbonne University
(Paris I). In 2010, she is supported by the Fondation de
France and the Sorbonne for the Art Studio program
at the NYU.
Her plastic work articulates around her interest to
observe human life in all its dimensions. Her productions
derive from her observations, her personal, emotional
and collective experiences collected in the different
cities where she lived (Paris, New York, Luxembourg).
Her drawings, paintings, videos and installations
are at the service of one same idea: the capture of
the complexity of reality and the scope of emotions
stemming from the frustration to be fixed on the close
border separating the two concepts of control and
un-control. What motivates her creation is to create
common spaces within the force of memory and affect.
