beschäftegen an d’Catharina huet eng regelrecht
Passioun fir dat Material entwéckelt. Si huet
hiren eegene Mélange aus Parzelläin a Papeier
zesummegesat, andeems si dem Parzelläin Pabeier
an Zellose bäigeméscht huet. Dat vereinfacht
d’Verschaffe vum Parzelläin an erméiglecht hir,
mat vill méi Feinheet ze schaffen. D’Zaartheet,
d‘Hellegkeet an déi deelweis Duerchsiichtegkeet vun
der wäisser Faarf ass den Ausdrock vun hirer déiwer
Léift a Passioun zur Natur, déi hir eng onendlech Quell
un Inspiratioun ass.
Catharina Elisabeth Luteijn, née aux Pays-Bas en 1956,
s’est installée au Luxembourg dans les années 60.
Elle se spécialise en céramique au Lycée des Arts et
Métiers, section Beaux-Arts. Elle se forme ensuite en
Belgique, Allemagne, France et au Pays- Bas avant
d’ouvrir son atelier ”Keramik’Art” au Luxembourg
en 2002. Elle y produit ses propres créations tout en
enseignant également la céramique.
En jouant en 2010 avec la matière de la porcelaine,
Catharina en développe une vraie passion. Elle crée
son propre mélange ”papier-porcelaine” : ajouter du
papier, de la cellulose, à la matière de la porcelaine
en facilite sa manipulation et lui permet un travail
d’une grande finesse. La délicatesse, la luminosité et
la translucidité de la couleur blanche est son moyen
d’exprimer sa passion et son amour profond pour la
nature, source éternelle de son inspiration.
Catharina Elisabeth Luteijn, born in the Netherlands
in 1956, settles in Luxembourg in the sixties. She
specialises in ceramics at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers,
under the Fine Arts section. She further studies in
Belgium, Germany, France and the Netherlands before
opening her studio « Keramik’Art » in Luxembourg
in 2002. She produces her own creations while also
teaching ceramics.
When she plays in 2010 with the substance of the
porcelain, Catharina develops a true passion. She
creates her own mixture “paper-porcelain”: adding
paper, cellulose, to the substance of porcelain
enables a fine manipulation and allows a work of a
great delicacy. The thinness, the brightness and the
transparency of the white colour is her way to express
her passion and deep love for nature, eternal source of
her inspiration.
