Handwierker realiséiert ginn. Sou vermëscht hien
den Design an d’Präzisioun vum Geste mam Choix vu
schéine Matièren.
Christophe de la Fontaine, né en 1976 au Luxembourg,
a reçu son diplôme de sculpteur au Lycée des Arts et
Métiers. De 1996 à 2002 il étudie le design industriel
auprès de Richard Sapper à l’Académie des Beaux-
Arts de Stuttgart. Après avoir séjourné à Londres,
Milan et à Munich, il intègre de 2003 à 2010 le studio
de Patricia Urquiola à Milan. Il se lance ensuite comme
indépendant et participe à de nombreuses expositions.
Christophe ouvre en 2010 son propre studio Christophe
de la Fontaine Industrial Design et travaille pour
Moroso, Rosenthal et FormAgenda. En 2012, il fonde, en
association avec l’artiste Aylin Langreuter, la marque
DANTE-GOODS & BADS pour créer et développer des
pièces en édition limitée, réalisées en collaboration
avec des artisans, mêlant au design et à la précision
du geste le choix de belles matières.
Christophe de la Fontaine, born in 1976 in Luxembourg,
graduates as sculptor from the Lycée des Arts et
Métiers. From 1996 to 2002, he studies industrial
design under Richard Sapper, at the Academy of Fine
Arts in Stuttgart. After a journey in London, Milan and
Munich, he joins the design department at the studio of
Patricia Urquiola in Milan from 2003 to 2010. He works
as a freelance and participates to numerous exhibitions.
Christophe opens in 2010 his own design office
Christophe de la Fontaine Industrial Design and works
for Moroso, Rosenthal and FormAgenda. In 2012 he
co-founds with the artist Aylin Langreuter the brand
DANTE - GOODS & BADS to create and develop
pieces in limited editions, conducted in collaboration
with craftsmen, adding to the design and precise
manufacture the choice of beautiful materials.
